Photographer: Zach Wolfe. On King Kong, Boyz N Da Hood member Gorilla Zoe combines the good-time Atlanta attitude of his home boy Ludacris with the slick, techno-throb of club kings like Rick Ross. This means cuts like "Crazy," "Nasty," and "Party Over Here" all deliver on the poppin' bottles promise of their titles, and if you DJ or dance in a strip club, you know about half these cuts by heart. No surprise, then, that Lil Jon's spirited "Yeah"'s help make "Twisted" a key cut, or that the title track is a big, attractive monster with a suitably banging beat from producer Drumma Boy. Add the loopy, light single "What's Goin' On" and King Kong is the kind of album weekends were made for, and with more than its fair share of highlights, don't expect to care much once Monday rolls around. ~ David Jeffries
