前作に引き続きT・ボーン・バーネットと組み、ヴィンス・ギルら豪華ゲストを迎えたニュー・アルバム。今回はインポスターズの参加もあってシャープなビート・チューンも飛び出すが、同時にオールドタイミーなジャズやアーシーなカントリーなども搭載され、コステロの音楽性が俯瞰できる分厚い内容となっている。レオン・ラッセルと共作したブルース・ナンバー"My Lovely Jezebel"がめっぽうゴキゲンだ。
