Logic's Obsessive imprint, which has more than proved itself through 2000/2001, with a series of albums securing its reputation as a purveyor of the finest quality compilations. Here they employ the talents of U.K. trancemeister Danny Howells, who offers up the third in his ongoing mix series with two CDs, which will provide much needed sustenance to those unable to make either of his continent hopping residencies at Nottingham's Renaissance and New York's Twilo. The ubiquitous Slam are here of course, as is Howells' own Kinkyfunk production moniker, but the main draw is sure to be the studio exclusives -- Pete Heller's Sputnik and Halo Varga amongst them. With a computer-assisted mix ensuring a glitch free journey through two hours of grinding techno-infused sounds, this is another slick episode in what is proving to be a promising series. ~ Kingsley Marshall|
