7年ぶりとなる新作は、なんと全編カヴァー。それもレディオヘッドやアーケイド・ファイアなど、意表を突きまくるセレクトの曲が多数収録されているから仰天だ。バックはオーケストラ楽器のみだが、そのぶん特異なヴォーカリストとしてのガブリエルが見事に炙り出されている。自我の強い歌唱によって他人の楽曲を完全に再構築した本作は、単なる〈カヴァー〉の域をスルリと逸脱した、恐るべき傑作である。
