あのロックンロールの始祖、Buddy Hollyの貴重な音源を203曲6枚のDiscに収録し、豪華なパッケージに収納して、世界で7,000セット限定リリース!Buddy Hollyが少年だった12～15歳の時の最も初期の音源、Bob Montgomeryと録音したデモ音源、ガレージで録音した音源、BuddyがDeccaの為にナッシュヴィルで行った最初のスタジオ録音、CoralからBrunswickの為に録音した音源、有名なヒット曲からアパートで発見され大きく報じられたテープの音源まで多岐に亘っている。1955年8月に行われたセッションの音源を含む未発表曲6曲、アメリカで未発表だった曲11曲、更に全てのオリジナル楽曲、存在が確認できているダビング前のオリジナル録音音源に加えて、ニューヨークとクロヴィスで録音された57曲のオーヴァーダブ・ヴァージョンも収録。「音楽が死んだ日」とまで称されるBuddyの飛行機事故死後にオーヴァーダブされリリースされたものまでも収録。いくらBuddy Hollyマニア、コレクターと言えども探しても、見つけることが出来ない本当に貴重な音源が数多く収録。大よそA4サイズのブックが付いており、ページ数は80ページ!貴重な写真の数々や、セッション毎のレコーディング情報を掲載。Billy Altmanによる"Legacy"はキャリアを総括した内容、Bill Dahlによる"The Music"はセッション毎の詳しい内容を中心とした研究所のような内容の2本のライナー・ノートも掲載!監修はBuddy Holly史の研究家、Bill Griggs、プロデュースはUniversal MusicのAndy McKaieが担当。
