ノルウェーの〈青き彗星〉ももう27歳。拠点をブルックリンに移しての5作目は、またまた〈良いモノに出会っちゃった〉って感激できる一枚に。プリファブ・スプラウトへの変わらぬ愛を誓う曲やXTCっぽい偏屈なリズムが心地良いナンバーなど、彼の作品は毎度〈捨て曲なし〉と言われるが、今回もその言葉がキマッちゃうのだから仕方ない。妙に凝った弦アレンジは、何とビックリ、ショーン・オヘイガンによるもの。こりゃ完璧だ。
