It took Vitalic's Pascal Arbez-Nicolas over four years to follow up OK Cowboy, but then he's never been a particularly speedy producer. While the electro foundations of his sound remain the same, these cuts are sleek and innovative. The title track is particularly bonkers, with vocals and synths that get higher and swifter even though the actual beat stays rock-solid. "Poison Lips" is even more unusual, transforming the vocal program Brigitte into a breathy, glitchy Donna Summer replicant, while the gorgeous "Second Lives" feels like a classical piece given a radical spin on the dancefloor. Flashmob may or may not be as profoundly influential as OK Cowboy, but it's just as engaging and even more cohesive. ~ Heather Phares

4年ぶりのオリジナル・アルバムに前作『OK Cowboy』のパンキッシュで野生的な姿はなく、ここで選ばれたのは端的に言えばディスコ。ダーティーなキックやシンセに以前の面影を見つけることもできるけど、今回は切ないメロディーを重用した新しい姿でのご帰還だ。ニューウェイヴ感にドリーミーな音色、そして近未来的な雰囲気も相まってポップ指数もいままでになく高い。こんなロマンティックなヴィタリックもアリかもね。
