Recorded in 1975 and released six years later, BACH'S BOTTOM is a sprawling, disheveled session that serves as a peek behind the curtain of Alex Chilton's muse. Repeated takes of "(Everytime I) Close My Eyes", "Free Again", and "Take Me Home And Make Me Like It" find the songs being prodded and dissected but never losing their core identities. A final take of the latter song (from a session two years later) sees it beautifully strung out on pure deconstruction. This is one of four bonus cuts that also include the amazing "Walking Dead".
