伝説的ヴァイオリニスト、メニューインとグラッペリの共演録音、全86曲
メニューインとグラッペリは1973～1983年に6枚のLPを発表、その全てを4CDに収録。メニューインは20世紀を代表するセレブリティ、グラッペリは1930年代のジャンゴ・ラインハルトとのコラボを始めジャズ・ヴァイオリンのアイコン的存在。その両者の共演は1971年のクリスマスにUKのTVショウで実現、それ以来の彼らの友情とコラボがこの録音に結実しています。 ［コメント提供；EMIミュージック・ジャパン］
