北欧のモーツァルト、ヨゼフ・マルティン・クラウスの多彩な表現力に脱帽
ドイツ出身のヨゼフ・マルティン・クラウスは、ドイツ国内で作曲、法律を学んだ後22歳で職を求めてスウェーデンに渡る。1781年にストックホルムのグスタフ3世の宮廷作曲家に就任し「スウェーデンのモーツァルト」とも称されています。付随音楽「アムフィトリヨン」は17世紀の大作家モリエールの「アムフィトリヨン」を題材とし、4つの付随音楽とディヴェルティメントで構成されたバレエ音楽。宮廷での上演はそこそこだったようですがクラウスの音楽は豊かな場面表現で人々を魅了し、ここでは宮廷楽長であったヨハン・フレデリック・グレンザーが2本のクラリネット、2本のファゴット、2つのホルンのためのハルモニー・ムジークに編曲した版を収録。アンフィオン管楽八重奏団は各名門古楽オーケストラのメンバーが集まった凄腕のンサンブル。
