コウクルの弾くマルティヌーの第6集です。ピアニスト、コウクルは第4集をリリースしたあと、マルティヌーの失われた作品や、未発表の作品などを精力的に研究し、3枚分のCDに収録できるだけの作品を発掘したというのですから、まさにこれは歴史的偉業と讃えてもよいでしょう。ここに収録されているのは、マルティヌーのパリ時代の作品が中心ですが、例えば2セットずつまとめて作曲された「12のエスキース」や「遊戯」は出版される際にばらばらにされたため、「遊戯」の前半と「エスキース」の後半は忘れられてしまったとか。まだまだ、その全貌が知られているとは言い難いマルティヌーの魅力をすみからすみまで掘り起こしてくれるコウクルに感謝です。 ［コメント提供；ナクソス・ジャパン］
