ゴールドスミスというより、ジョン・バリー、ロイ・バッド のサウンドのファンにお薦めの洒落たサウンド。 『SEBASTIAN』(1968) サウンドトラック 音楽　ジェリー・ゴールドスミス 監督　デビッド・グリーン 主演　ダーク・ボガード、ナイジェル・ダベンボード 教授でもあり、英国諜報機関の暗号解読者でもあり、 助手はすべて美しい女性、というセバスチャン氏の活躍 を描くおしゃれなスリラー。音楽はゴールドスミスですが、 ゴールドスミスの、というより６０年代イギリスの娯楽映画 の雰囲気たっぷりのおしゃれな楽しさ。イージーリスニング 寄りのジャズ・ロックの数々。テンポの取りかたが ユニークなテーマは、『カプリコン１』のアイデアの原型！？ ヴォーカル・ナンバーが３曲も、というのもゴールドスミス としては異色。ジョン・バリーやロイ・バッドのサウンドの ファンにもお薦めです。後半には、映画で使用された 電子ＳＥ（作　トリストラム・キャリー）の貴重な録音を 収録。 (C)馬場敏裕
