Film score buffs were so impressed with Steve Jablonsky's (initially) unreleased work for the 2007 big-screen adaptation of TRANSFORMERS that the studio saw fit to release it as a CD based on fan demand alone. Oversight was obviously taken on director Michael Bay's 2009 franchise follow-up REVENGE OF THE FALLEN, whose original score neatly coincides with the film's release and is, once again, scored by Jablonsky in his now familiar summer blockbuster style. A big, bold mix of orchestral bombast and electronic textures, the music's relentless energy provides the perfect accompaniment to the film's sci-fi themes.
