ブリットポップ全盛期に一世を風靡したバンド、パルプのフロントマンであるジャーヴィス・コッカーのセカンド・アルバムは、2008年、Pitchfork Festivalに出演したついでにシカゴにあるスティーヴ・アルビニのElectrical Audioでレコーディングしたのがきっかけで全編プロデュースにスティーヴ・アルビニ迎え「バンドを巻き込んでみんなで一緒に作りたかった」というジャーヴィスの希望がかなったバリバリのバンド・サウンド作品。
