Don't think this is a long lost Ol' Dirty Bastard album, because All in Together Now Raw is a tribute album that belongs in any given record store's "various-artists" section. Being executive produced by ODB's brother Raison Allah with Wu-Tang Clan affiliates 12 O'Clock and IceMan, the set has some cred, plus rappers like Phovia and Drayton do capture the ODB/Wu-Tang spirit with odd rhymes, furious flows, and strange ideas. The CD is short with only ten tracks, three of which are dialog-driven, hyping Raison's company Zu Films and his ODB documentary, which remained unreleased at the time of this set. The remaining music cuts are surprisingly good with one, the grinding "Paper Stacks," being downright excellent. The bonus DVD is merely a five-minute trailer for the unreleased film that could have easily fit on the CD as a multimedia track, although that would have made the set look smaller and less important. All in Together Now Raw wants to come off as necessary, but it's really only of interest to the most hardcore of Wu-Tang collectors. ~ David Jeffries|
