The very name of Josh Hodge's electro workout indicates that he's more concerned with starting a party than selling records. And JUPITER continues the trend. "Boy Toy" has a dreamlike quality similar to Moby's "We Are All Made Of Stars," while "Bed Stuy (Super Cop)" is a slightly distorted take on flirty radio pop. With cheeky, ironic song titles like "Biggie Smalls" and a faithful-cum-funky cover of "Girls Just Want To Have Fun," it's clear Starfucker are revivalists, but they mainly succeed at having a blast.
