本作は第1次大戦の激戦地、Passchendaleを題材にしたコンセプト・アルバム。前作『The Toxic Touch』はバンド史上最もメロディックで多様性に富んだ内容でしたが、今作ではドラマーRoel Sandersが復帰したことによりその鬼神の如き速さを取り戻しています。もちろん前作までのメロディックさもそのままに、ベルギーの小さな町で起きた悲劇的戦闘の模様を一大叙事詩に紡ぎ上げました!
