RCAレーベルに1作だけ残したアルバム『サウスポー・グラマー』をリニューアルしてのリリース。このアルバムはソロ活動の拠点としていたパーロフォン・レーベルから離れ、RCAに移籍したモリッシーが1995年に発表した作品。叙情的でメロディアスな作品が多かったパーロフォン時代の作品と比べ、「ザ・ボーイ・レーサー」「ダガンハム・デイヴ」などビートを強調した楽曲を数多く有し、攻撃的でパンキッシュなアルバムとなっている。今回のリニューアルに当たっては、モリッシー自ら陣頭指揮を行い、未発表曲4曲を追加した上で曲順を刷新、ジャケットも新たに作り直し、本人がライナーノーツを執筆しており、ファンにはたまらない豪華盤となっている。

Fourteen years after its original 1995 release, Morrissey's fifth studio album after leaving The Smiths is re-released here in an expanded form. The new edition contains four extra bonus tracks not featured on the original release, as well as new artwork. The original release of 'Southpaw Grammar' was to date, the only Morrissey album not to feature his image on the sleeve, however it is his face that adorns the new cover.|
