After shooting fame as 'The People's Joseph' by winning the BBC's 'Any Dream Will Do' talent contest, West End sensation Lee Mead has turned his back on the Technicolor Dreamcoat and releases his second solo LP. With 'Nothing Else Matters', Mead takes on some of the songwriting himself and mingles it with established pop classics from some of his idols. Spandau Ballet's 'Across The Barricades' and Train's 'Drops Of Jupiter' sit alongside standards like 'Time To Say Goodbye', but the focus remains on Mead's ability to contemporise many of these more established works. Also included is 'When The Stars Go Blue', a duet with Hayley Westenra, and the lead single 'Nothing Else Matters'.|
