With musical touchstones that include Teenage Fanclub, My Bloody Valentine, Guided by Voices, and Elephant 6 collective acts like Apples in Stereo (not to mention the 1960s psych-pop bands that influenced those bands), I WAS A KING is a blast of hooky, swirling guitar-kissed bliss.
