元アラブ・ストラップのヴォーカリストだったエイダン・モファットの最新作はAidan Moffat + The Best-Ofsという新バンドのアルバムとなった。バンドメンバーは非固定で、「俺の好きな才能をもってて、入りたい人がいつでも入れるようなクラブ」のようなものだという。「伝統的な意味においては、バンド・メンバーはいないけど、今回のアルバムには元デルガドスのアラン・ウッドワード、イザベル・キャンベルのバンドのメンバー、スティービー・ジョーンズがメンバーだったよ」アラブ・ストラップの11年の期間のうち、ほとんどをアグラスゴーのアルコール漬けのローファイな悲観主義者の泣き言を唄うことに費やしてきたが、解散から3年を経て、彼が唄うのは対局に位置するようなポジティヴな愛、という訳だ。
