This 15-track entry in Sony's Playlist series is a best-of with a twist: along with the big hits (and not enough great album tracks from the early albums) there's a CD-R track tacked on the bottom end with photos, bio, vid clips, etc. In other words, what they hope is that a slew of extras will get you to part with your hard-earned cash yet again. This set is only for the most casual of fans based on the material chosen for inclusion. There have been many other compilations out there that serve the faithful and/or historian better. There isn't anything wrong with what is here, it's a cross-section of the late songwriter's singles -- some of which charted high, others which didn't -- and an album cut or two, but there is nothing to warrant buying this package over any other one currently on the market. ~ Thom Jurek
