Canadian club-rap duo Thunderheist, beatsmith Grahm Zilla, and Nigerian songstress Isis, are one of the unlikeliest combinations in dance music. Initially a web collaboration through mutual musical friends, the group became a fully-fledged performing unit in 2006 on the strength of synth-heavy mash-ups like the Eurythmics-sampling "Suenos Dulces". On the band's self-titled debut, Thunderheist draw on the entire history of club music, from modern-day hip-hop and booty music to classic synth pop, disco, and R&B--venturing into uncharted waters with a finely crafted mix of lyrical swagger and electro-flipped beats.|

〈ジャーキー、ジャーキー〉と思わず口ずさんでしまう“Jerk It”を引っ提げて、カナダから現れた男女2人組のサンダーハイストがファースト・アルバムをリリースしました。DJのグラムジラ（男）が作り出すトラックはエレクトロ～ゲットー・ベースを咀嚼したケツ振りブーティー仕様で、それをMC／ヴォーカルのアイシス（女）が淡々と乗りこなすというスタイルがたまらなくカッチョイイ内容に仕上がっております。同じビッグ・ダダに所属するディプロ（&M.I.A.）なんかともすでに比較されてますが、まったく引けを取らないポテンシャルで、A・トラック（&キッド・シスター）と共にネクスト・ディプロの称号を争わんばかりの勢い。アイシスの角刈りも昔のグレイス・ジョーンズみたいで男前です!!
