Photographer: Barry Underhill. The hip-hop scene is not exactly rife with New Zealand rappers, so it's forgivable to consider Demetrius Savelio, aka Savage, something of a novelty act. But this flowin' Samoan's talent immediately dispels the notion. This 2008 release, originally recorded in '05, is produced by Sol Messiah and Akon, and includes the hit single "Swing" (as well as the Soulja Boy remix) featured in Judd Apatow's KNOCKED UP, and the follow-up single "Moonshine."
