本作はスニーカー・ピンプスの元ヴォーカリスト、ケリー・アリが2008年にリリースした4作目のソロアルバム。これまでのソロ作品やヴォーカルとして参加してきたエレクトロニックな作品とは異なり、フォーク色の強い作品となっている。特徴的な甘いヴォーカルにフルートやヴァイオリンを中心としたシンプルながらもドリーミーなサウンド。ヴァシュティ・ヴァニアンを手掛けたドイツ人ピアニスト、マックス・リヒターによるプロデュース。

'Rocking Horse' is the third album from former Sneaker Pimps vocalist Kelli Ali. Written on an acoustic guitar whilst travelling through Mexico and California in 2005, Ali returned to the studio in March 2008 and enlisted the help of composer Max Ritcher as producer. Keeping the simple acoustic sound that inspired the original songs, Ali embraces the psych-folk of Joanna Newsom and Devendra Banhart, creating a unique album that greatly contrasts with her previous work.|
