Recording information: No Fun Productions (2008). Given that Carlos Giffoni curates the noise-friendly No Fun Festival, it's no surprise that ADULT LIFE is composed of five lengthy, challenging selections that mostly utilize distorted analog synths. But this EP is surprisingly affecting at times, particularly during the Tangerine Dream-like trance of the perfectly titled opener, "Endless Mirror." ADULT isn't necessarily cinematic; it's more like the soundtrack for the little scenes in between crucial narrative shifts, like a character's first glimpse of eerily unfamiliar surroundings or his slow movements toward something ominous.
