ロマンティックなストーリーのスコアは 映画音楽本格進出の女性コンポーザー。 『最後の初恋』（２００８） サウンドトラック・スコア盤 音楽　ジーニン・テソリ 監督　ジョージ・Ｃ・ウルフ 主演　リチャード・ギア、ダイアン・レイン 『きみに読む物語』のニコラス・スパークス原作に よる大人のラブストーリー。監督は『ノイズ＆ファンク』や 『CAROLINE,OR CHANGE』といったミュージカルの演出 で知られるジョージ・Ｃ・ウルフが劇場映画演出に進出。 そして、音楽は、ブロードウェイ版『モダン・ミリー』の作曲や、 CAROLINE～始め、多くのミュージカル／舞台劇の編曲や ピアニストとして、ミュージカル・ファンにはおなじみの ジーニン・テソリがこちらも本格的映画音楽進出。だから でしょうか、シンプルな編成での生楽器によるナンバーは いずれも、そのまま歌を乗せられるか、歌の前奏のような 歌心に満ちているような。ロマンティックでメロディアスで 優しい、最近のスコアにない新鮮さ。思えば、スパークス 原作映画のサントラは名盤揃いですが、今作も、なかなか 後年語り継がれそうな一枚です。 (C)馬場敏裕
