The Daysleepers' full-length debut is a 10-track dreamscape of sonic tranquility. DROWNED IN A SEA OF SOUND pays homage to the 1990s era of post-MTV artists like the Cure, Cocteau Twins, and Psychedelic Furs with an ethereal grace. Considered an up-and-coming act in the shoegaze movement, the Daysleepers carve their own niche with fluid guitar tones, dueling male and female lead vocals, and New Age-styled synthesizer atmospherics. The album also benefits from an empyrean production by Tearwave guitarist/keyboardist Doug White.
