Offering a great lesson in British thrash metal history, Candlelight Records brings two classic albums back into the spotlight. Sacrilege's BEHIND THE REALMS OF MADNESS and WITHIN THE PROPHECY (originally released in 1985 and 1987 respectively) largely influenced the thrash and extreme metal movement in the U.K. during the late 1980s. Interestingly, Sacrilege was among the very few female-fronted thrash metal bands ever to exist. The band's music was raw, crusty, and brutal, with a veiled sense of melody. BEHIND spits punk-inspired streetwise venom, while WITHIN bulldozes the listener with thick riffs and refined compositions. Combined, the set is a massive slab of classic metal.|
