LOADED is the second full-length from swift-tongued dancehall sensation Busy Signal, and sees the Jamaican MC moving away from the more traditionally oriented ragga of his debut and dabbling in a surprising array of styles. Lead single “Tic Toc” features a futuristic electro hook that recalls the frigid soundscapes of early techno artists like Cybotron and Egyptian Lover, while the pensive “Jail” finds Busy Signal working in a roots reggae mode that is surprisingly well suited to his gravelly but expressive baritone.
