The 2003 self-titled EP from Chicago's reigning black metal kings Nachtmystium is back in circulation. Consisting of four original tracks and two cover songs (Ceremonial Castings' "Come Forth, Devastation" and Judas Iscariot's "Gaze Upon Heaven In Flames"), NACHTMYSTIUM is a pivotal release in the band's catalogue. Although the EP exudes a rawness similar to the band's 2002 debut, REIGN OF THE MALICIOUS, the songwriting has progressed enough here to incorporate more melodic elements. As the original pressing of this EP was limited to 1000 copies, black-metal fans will be grateful for the opportunity to revisit this classic.|
