Throughout a collection of Irish, Scottish, and some English ballads and reels and backed by an ace band that includes fiddler Kieran Crehan and whistler/piper Eamonn Curran, the two trade the vocal spotlight and accompany themselves on hurdy-gurdies, bouzoukis, and concertina, among many other instruments. No one captures the stark beauty and melancholy at the heart of traditional Celtic music better than Keane and Faulkner.
