Georgia outfit Rehab, led by Danny "Boone" Alexander, create a unique brand of rap-metal, distinctly Southern, mixing Skynyrd-ish hard rock with blues, country, reggae and hip-hop in varieties ranging from Three 6 Mafia hard to Ludacris goofy. After over a decade of constant touring and many self-released local records, the band caught fire in 2008 when both country and rock radio grabbed hold of a reworking of their eight-year-old regional hit, "Sittin' at a Bar" (retitled "Bartender's Song"). Essentially a repackaging of its 2000 release, SOUTHERN DISCOMFORT, to capitalize on the song's sudden success, SITTIN' AT A BAR culls the best 12 tracks from that inventive, engrossing record while adding two new versions of the hit.
