A glitter-dusted confection of an album, HUMAN CANNONBALL nicks from glamorous hairballs such as Marc Bolan and David Bowie, but keeps it real by confining the spaceflight to the garage. For every flight of fancy like the breezy pop of "Space is a Cold and Lonely Place", Captain Murphy have a gritty counterpoint such as the acid-blues stomper "Ooh Ah Wap Shee Wah Yeah!" or the hip-swiveling, fuzz-bass grinder "Lost Little Chrissy". The world ended in the mid-70s for Captain Murphy, but HUMAN CANNONBALL is far better than your average time capsule.
