Ever since the Lootpack made "wack MCs" the target of virtually all the b-boy-centric battle raps on their exceptional 1999 debut album, the crew's primary lyricist has carried the torch for hip-hop purity. On his sophomore solo release, the Oxnard native continues to keep it true with one foot rooted firmly in the old school, singing the praises of yesteryear artists who inspired him ("Fresh Air") and paying tribute to the founders ("Do Da Herc").
