Pinnick takes his solo output to the next level with 2007's STRUM SUM UP, his first album under his own name since 2005's EMOTIONAL ANIMAL. While on previous solo outings Pinnick has been known to tackle most of the instruments, STRUM SUM UP features an impressive list of Dug's friends and colleagues, some of which include Wally Farkas (Galactic Cowboys), Ray Luzier (Army Of Anyone), and Alain Johannes (Eleven, QOTSA). Many of the songs in this set include extended-jam outros (billed as part twos). These indulgences notwithstanding, the album bristles with hooks, and all the rock/soul/funk that Dug Pinnick fans would expect.
