Chrome Dreams II

オリジナルとしては2006年リリースの『LIVING WITH WAR』に続くNeil Youngのアルバムは、彼が1977年に制作したものの未発表に終わったアルバム『Chrome Dreams』の名を冠してのリリース！元々オリジナルの『Chrome Dreams』は1977年にリリース予定でしたが発売直前にお蔵入りとなってしまったアルバム。しかしこのアルバムに収録予定だった「Pocahontas」「Sedan Delivery」「Powder finger 」「Look Out For MyLove」「Like a Hurricane」などの多くの曲は、その後のアルバムに収録され彼の名曲となっています。ちなみにニールのウェブサイトによれば、オリジナル『Chrome Dreams』の為の書類やジャケットのアイディアなどは、1978年に彼の家で全て燃やされてしまい、何も残っていないという。Crazy HorseのドラマーであるRalph Molinaと、スティール・ペダル・ギタリストのBen Keithらと共に制作された本作は、以前に書かれた3曲に、新曲7曲を含む計10曲で構成されており、中には13分や18分半という大作も収録予定！失われてしまった『Chrome Dreams』が30年の時を経て蘇る!!
