One of the outstanding figures of the original British punk scene, Johnny Moped only released one proper L.P. (plus a reunion album), but played some legendary gigs. His fearless and explosive stage presence created a lasting impression on those lucky enough to catch a show, and his band members included, at different junctures, Kirsty MacColl, Chrissie Hynde, and members of the Damned. These bootlegs are some of the only existing evidence of his brilliance. While the sound quality is understandably not sparkling, the vivid personality of Mr. Moped and his gang shines through.
