Philadelphia's Robert Hazard is best known as the writer of Cyndi Lauper's hit "Girls Just Want to Have Fun," and secondarily as the one-hit wonder behind the '80s synth-pop nugget "Escalator of Life." However, those who still associate Hazard with the era of big hair and drum machines will be surprised by TROUBADOUR. Decades down the line, Hazard has reinvented himself as a rootsy, acoustic-oriented singer-songwriter, and TROUBADOUR is full of subtle, complex lyricism and earthy, Americana-flavored production.
