Issued in 2007, the Junior Varsity's third outing for the Victory label, CINEMATOGRAPHIC, finds the Illinois emo quintet expanding its guitar-heavy sound. While the group still offers up crisp metalcore riffs, it also opts for delicate touches (even orchestral passages) without sacrificing its signature urgency, as on "The Sky," a dynamic song that addresses the difficulties of wartime.
