The title of the Houston-via-New York City singer-songwriter's 2007 album for Gnomongsong (run by Devendra Banhart and Andy Cabic), THERE'S NO HOME, comes across as less a melancholy resignation and more an affirmation of the possibilities of the whole wide world. This fractured notion of hope is furthered by songs that evoke moving landscapes viewed from a passenger-side window and searching lyrics of loving and losing, coming and going.
