Updating the early 1990s set Gold, which helped spark a renewal of interest in what is perhaps the greatest pure pop band of the 1970s, the 18-track Number Ones is ABBA at its very best. The Swedish foursome's finest are all present here, from early bubblegum confections (the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest winner "Waterloo") through their numerous career high points (the gloriously infectious "Dancing Queen" and "SOS") to reflective later hits ("The Winner Takes It All").
