The fourth volume of this series of '80s club-oriented R&B is highlighted by a contribution from titans of R&B '80s production Paul Laurence, Morrie Brown, and Kashif, who are represented with one of their best hits, Melba Moore's "Love's Comin' at Ya" (EMI America, 1982). The almost-as-brilliant Nick Martinelli and David Todd are also present with Sybil Thomas' "Rescue Me" (West End, 1983), made just before Martinelli became more noted for his work with Loose Ends. Other standouts here include Tony Humphries' dub mix of Roundtree's "Hit on You" (Aria, 1982), Pink Rhythm (John Rocca)'s "Can't Get Enough of Your Love," Windjammer's "Tossing and Turning" (MCA, 1984), and Katie Kissoon's "You're the One (You're My Number One)" (Jive, 1983). ~ Andy Kellman
