69 Boyz: Thill Van, Fast, Slow, Rottweiler "Mike Mike".
Recorded at The Bass Station, Orlando, Florida.
Imagine all the men during spring break crowded into a record-your-own-rap booth at the Daytona Beach mall, and spilling all their thoughts into the mouths of one or two guys. Now picture these guys have a little bit o' soul and a sense of humor. The 69 Boyz, whose album was produced by fellow Floridians 95 South, of "Whoot (as opposed to the more famous "Whoomp!") There It Is" fame, turn what might have been average rap tracks into a non-stop party jam on NINETEEN NINETY QUAD.
The talk is about sex, sex and more sex, with the occasional diversion. The hilarious "Hennessy" turns Arrested Development's "Tennessee" into a drinking song. "Take me to another bar/Take me to the ABC/So I can get a 2-liter cup/And a fifth of Hennessy." "Survival Of The Fittest" is a gangsta rap befitting a gangsta of love (or lust). In kindergarten the narrator found himself "Feeling on the teachers and giving them looks/Instead of taking all the kids' coloring books." Finally in "Teenie Weenie," the 69 Boyz turn the microphone over to the objects of their raps, the women.
