Thanks to a video that circulated on the Internet in 2005, Honolulu's Jake Shimabukuro stunned the world with his delicately emotional and virtuosic rendition of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" played entirely on ukulele. But even before that, he was a truly international sensation, touring the U.S., Europe, and Japan and making fans everywhere with his amazing shows that combine jazz-worthy technique with rock feel and folk sensitivity. ジェイク・シマブクロの2006年リリースのオリジナル・アルバム『ジェントリー・ウィープス』のUS盤がリリース。日本盤とは全く違うアートワークでデジパック仕様で登場。収録内容も前半にソロ作品、後半にボーナス･トラックとしてバンドによるナンバーを集めており、トラック･リストが日本盤とは全く違う順序に。日本未発表曲は2曲。またUS盤には映画『フラガール』がきっかけで初めてヴォーカルを収録したナンバー「Wish On My Star」を収録(ヴォーカルはJakeではありません)。
