Subhumans have successfully avoided the sophomore slump by waiting 26 years since their debut, INCORRECT THINGS. Reuniting the original line-up and adding D.O.A.'s drummer, NEW DARK AGE PARADE finds the Vancouver quartet (not to be confused with the U.K. band of the same name and style) picking up right where they left off in 1981, kicking out no-frills three-chord punk with bracing guitar tones and overtly political lyrics. The evils of the media-military-industrial complex are the main targets on stand-out tracks like "World At War" and "People of the Plague." The production recalls the mid-'90s punk revival, but the band's furious righteousness convincingly recalls their heyday.
