飾らないからこそ心に響く歌がある。〈4ADの吟遊詩人〉ことマウンテン・ゴーツが紡ぎ出すのは、まさにそんな音楽だ。通算14枚目となる新作も、やはりアコースティック・ギターの朴訥とした弾き語りにごく控えめな伴奏のみのシンプルな構成。だが、そこがいいのだ。どうしようもない孤独感の後に希望のさざ波がそっと足元を洗っていくような、ささやかな救済を秘めた歌声に耳を傾けると……たまらなく泣けてくる。
