遅咲きのシンガー・ソングライターとして2004年にデビューしたレイ・ラモンターニュ。前作に続いてイーサン・ジョーンズをプロデューサーに起用した新作は、繊細でどこか切ないアコギの音色やメロディーの美しさを際立たせるストリングス、ティム・バックリーさながらのヴィンテージな歌声が思慮深く響き渡ります。外に発散するタイプの音楽ではありませんが、内なる感情をそのまま歌う無垢な姿に心を打たれます!
