ショスタコーヴィチ生誕100年！UNIVERSALが贈る「ショスタコーヴィチ・エディション」！
2005年は没後30年だったショスタコーヴィチですが、2006年はご存知の通り生誕100週年。それを記念して、DECCAからショスタコーヴィチ・エディションが登場します。ユニバーサル傘下の3レーベルから彼の作品をセレクトし、全5巻35枚のCDにまとめました。
管弦楽曲と協奏曲集は豪華な顔ぶれです。録音の少ない「ステパン・ラージンの処刑」では、なんと別レーベル音源のケーゲル盤を採用しています。それにしても錚々たる顔ぶれ。DECCAがショスタコーヴィチを如何に大切にしていたかがよくわかります。クレーメルと小澤が共演したヴァイオリン協奏曲、オリジナルのカップリングはショスタコーヴィチ編曲によるシューマンのチェロ協奏曲ヴァイオリン版でしたが、さすがにそれは収録されませんでした。
