Although the golden age of fusion is now thought of as 1969-1975, give or take a few years, creative fusion is still very much with us, if a bit underground. Keyboardist T Lavitz heads an all-star quartet and composed most of the material heard here, music that is full of intensity, fire, constant interplay between the players, and passion. Although there are some brilliant solos, the main significance to this music is how the four musicians all fit together and form exciting ensembles. Mixing together jazz improvising with the sound, rhythms, and power of rock, Boston T Party should delight fusion fans. ~ Scott Yanow|
